Don’t let your heart be troubled

Let not your heart be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.” John 14:1

What did you expect? Everything was going to go your own way, and people were just going to follow behind you? Guess what, you got what you wanted and ended up stepping on people’s throats and hearts in the process. You cannot live through life like you haven’t done anything wrong; that’s not how the Holy Spirit works. Can’t you see what you’ve done; can’t you see that your not to be trusted after the treachery you caused. A Christian such as yourself cannot prance around and step on people like that. That’s our sin nature that makes us do that; Satan wants us to crush people and lie to them to make him feel good. Guess what, you succeed in that. You’ve hurt a great person and shattered they’re trust.

Let not your heart be troubled it says in John 14:1. We as Christians cannot just mope around thinking that everyone who has rubbed us the wrong way should trouble our hearts all the time. No. Its not something we find joy in doing nor does it heal anything that has been hurt. The paragraph above is something that shows what a troubled heart looks like, and the anger and hurt that comes from it. Those words sounds mean and bitter coming from a Christian young woman such as myself. But like the book of James says: “Count it all joy, my brothers for you’ll meet trials of various kinds for you know the testing of our faith produces steadfastness.” (James 1:2-3)  Even if our hearts our troubled and we face trials, joy and steadfastness should be our ally.
To quote 1 Timothy 6:11 “Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness and gentleness.” All these things should be the main reason we live for Christ even if our hearts are broken and troubled. So while you rest under a grey cloud and think the whole world is crashing down on you everyday. (I am preaching this to myself as well.) Don’t think God is giving up on you and what your fighting for “Fight the good fight of the faith.” 1Timothy 6:12. You cannot live through life thinking that nothing good will happen to you or anyone you know; bad things will happen and negativity will be in the air. But God’s love still remains through it all; hurt, depression, anxiety etc. Never forget who your loving Father in Heaven is, be He will never lie to you or turn your back on you. He is always there, all the time.

Let not your heart be troubled. Count it all joy and pursue righteousness even when you think you can’t do nothing. Continue to fight the good fight of the faith and never give up on God’s grace.

One of these days

You have those days, days where the sun won’t shine behind those big white clouds. You have those day, days where nothing seems to go your way. You have those days, days where a simple cry won’t be heard among the many other cries. You just have those days. When fear grips your throat, and clams up your voice, you feel like there is no point to live, no point to continue. You’ve walked this earth with a head held high above everyone else’s, but forgot that you’re not perfect nor better than they are. No one is raised the same as you, lives the same as you nor breathes the same as you.

One of these days you’ll discover that the bubble you created, the closeness you’ve acquired by pleasing people and listening to whatever false words that have poured out from their mouths, will ruin you and the life you lived so far. One of these days God will show you what’s right and what’s wrong, from there making decisions shouldn’t be hard and heart wrenching. Drama, arguments, hatred and lies. One of these days, everything that has wronged you will eventually come back and bite you in the butt. You’re not perfect. God made us unique and different, nobody is the same nor raised the same.

You are a great person, and can do amazing things if you put your mind to it. Not everything will go your way, not everyone will understand and not everyone will listen. But there is one person who will, and that is God. He is there to take things off your shoulders, heal you from a broken heart and raise you up with sweet sweet encouragement from the Bible. One of these days, you will see Him face to face sitting on His throne. But as for now, you do everything for His glory no matter what goes on. To live for Christ and to die is gain.

Something New, Something Different

From the time I was old enough to understand and grasp the concept of men, I was raised up in the ways of courting. Now a lot of people I know have heard me go on and on about what it is and how one would pursue it in a Godly manner. It’s not about how many times you go out (chaperone included), its not about what the person looks like, it’s about their willingness and their faith to trust God to take them down the path of marriage. Not many see courtship the greatest path to start a relationship up with someone, but it’s the safest and most Godly way to do so (in my opinion that is). My parents are involved with whoever I start to like and they keep tabs on that person through me whether it’s text messages, phone calls etc. Its not suppose to threaten the young man, just to give him the idea that my parents are there and are making sure that my heart is protected beyond all measures.
As many of may know, my father can come off intimidating and yes, that is intentional. But as I say again, its not meant to scare the men who peak an interest away, its a protection tactic. My father is very protective of the family, but when it comes to a young man entering the picture, he becomes very vigilant of what is going on between the oldest girl child and a young man he doesn’t know. Now you’re probably asking if there is a guy in my life right now and who is he? Unfortunately I will not disclose that information, but what I can say is I am praying about it and seeing where God leads me. Also I’ll be praying for the young man who shall not be named everyday.

I apologize for the lack of posting, but I had to focus on what needed to be done around the house and I had to apply for college as well. I shall be posting more of my aesthetic post soon and keep everyone updated with my life.

For His Glory,

Always there

Whimsical 16

You lied to yourself

Thinking there was no one out there

But there is

They’re always there for you

The people you call friends

Well, their existent

Living beings that circle around

The very life you live each day

Arguments may happen

Lives maybe lost

But the love for one another never ceases

Why did you lie to yourself?

All this time there was people

People who are there for you in times of need

In times of anger

In times of distress

And in times of fun

Never forget why they’re there

Never forget why God has blessed you

Because one day you’ll wake up

And they’ll be gone

Friends are meant to be charished

And more importantly, forgiven

God gave them to you

Don’t give up on them

Don’t shut them out

Include them

Help them

Enjoy their company always and always.
